Un/Predictable Accessories

Watches. Rings. Necklaces. Glasses, even! How often do you change your accessories?

Me? Basically never. Unless I'm getting dressed up, I wear the same earrings everyday. Rings, too -- always reaching for the same three pieces of jewelry and rotating among them. The only accent I change regularly is my nail polish. (And, even then, shellac hasn't touched my mitts since pre-pandemic days, so clearly I can go without it.)

I chalk up my predictable accessorizing to having a so-called Life Uniform (more on that another day!) but maybe it's just... laziness? Lack of creativity? I'm blown away by anyone motivated to completely switch up their style accents with every new outfit. Sure, Carrie Bradshaw does it, but she's FICTIONAL. Where do real-life people find the inspiration? Or the time??

As much as I'd love a glamorously overabundant closet, I couldn't handle the pressure of having all that choice. I'm not a *plan ahead* dresser. It's hard enough to wrangle a cute enough top/jeans/shoe combo when you're (always and forever) running late to things. Sadly, there isn't any space in my life for extra adornments lol.

Where do you stand on the accessorizing spectrum? Are there any beloved, signature pieces that you always wear? I'm so curious :)
