Happy May! The weather in Montreal improves by the day, feeding my anticipation for morning coffee in the backyard, afternoons reading in the sun, and evening walks to get ice cream. These sunnier days are also driving me online, searching for new summery clothes.
To be clear: This shopping list is pure fantasy. A glimpse at the pretty things Fictional Me would be very tempted to buy for the changing season. Until global circumstances turn a corner for the better (and I return to the world of gainful employment), my current wardrobe will do an excellent job getting me through warmer days.
In case you're wondering... Yes, I am one of those weirdos who's been wearing jeans and bras throughout lockdown. (Makeup, not so much. Haven't touched a tube of mascara since March.) Feeding and walking Reggie, eating breakfast, showering and getting dressed in my ordinary clothes -- these mundane tasks give me focus in an otherwise unstructured day. That whiff of routine helps keep me sane. I know it's not for everyone. Do whatever floats your boat :)

Here are some dresses I've been fawning over from a distance.
Judging by what caught my eye, I am seriously coveting: Flippy, tiered silhouettes with lots of movement. Pretty polka dots, gingham, florals. (For spring? Groundbreaking.) Romantic details like ties, bows, puff sleeves. Definitely drawn to soft pretty colors, but also forever partial to a crisp white sundress for summertime.
There's a seemingly errant utility-style item in the mix. I really like how she looks so soft and delicate, but not as overtly girly as the others. The color is lovely, too.
Will do my best to emulate the overall vibe with clothes I already own. Maybe they'll inspire you to do the same!

Do you ever build fantasy shopping lists online just for fun? It's a surprisingly satisfying activity that I highly recommend ;)
What are you most excited to wear once the sunshine kicks into high gear?
