My New Hair Toy

Brace yourself for a very specific Public Service Announcement. It goes out to anyone with hair like mine: thin strands (but lots of them), flat on top, frizzy ends, and texturally in a grey area between straight and curly.

Bonus points if you also have lackluster blowout/styling skills.

My sister recently gifted me the fabled Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer. My jaw is still on the floor.

If you aren't familiar, spend ten minutes with this video.

The tool is like training wheels for a real deal blowout. I have never EVER been capable of that double-fisted, wrist-twisty, round brush hair styling technique. This brush lets me totally fake it. You get all the perks of a proper salon blowdry -- shine, bounce, volume, and wide loopy ends -- with practically zero skill required. Honestly, my praise might sound hyperbolic, but I promise it's completely true (to my experience, at least).

But I won't hide the drawbacks. The tool is pretty big and bulky, so my hand eventually cramps up. It also gets freaken HOT. Lastly, they say you can start on wet hair, but I've had muuuch better results after I let it air-dry for thirty minutes minimum.

Anyway. This post isn't sponsored or anything. (A girl can dream lol.) I just haven't been so excited about a gizmo since my first iphone :)

Huge thanks to the Triple Ds for the fabulous present. I love it (and you guys)!
